The Rest-Q was developed and has proven to provide body absorbing comfort, pressure reduction and pressure relief to the areas most prone to breakdown. Beneath the patient's heels, spinal column and hips
(when side laying), ultra soft portions of the mattress allow these sensitive areas to virtually float between the mattresses' more supportive materials.

When compared to more costly therapeutic surfaces, the Rest-Q consistently demonstrates superior pressure reduction. This advanced pressure reduction is no substitute for Nursing Care. Preventing and treating pressure related problems requires vigilant care. No support surface can or should be considered a substitute for the care nursing provides. Product Use

Top Cover
The dark blue nylon top cover reduces shear forces. This fabric is both water & vapor proof. It can be wiped clean with properly diluted hospital cleaning solutions. Should the top cover ever become damaged, it can be zipped off and replaced.

Suspended Heels The Rest-Q mattress has a specially designed foot-end to suspend & protect sensitive heels. The foot-end of the mattress is labeled and should always be properly positioned on the bed.

Built in Bridging for the Sacral area, Spinal Column & Hips. Along with the pressure relieving heel area, the mattress has a soft strip that passes from head to foot beneath the patient’s spinal column. This soft material gently absorbs the bony prominences along the spine & sacral area. Firmer material along each side of this pressure relieving strip supports the patient, helping to bridge the body’s more sensitive areas. When turning someone onto their side, position their hips over this pressure relieving area in the middle of the mattress.
