The following are the results from a case study conducted during an evaluation of the Comfortex Rest-Q mattress by the Wound Care Nurse at the VA Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA.
The patient, 79 year old male, who has S/P fracture left hip. He has multiple ulcers (4 sites). The patient has a history of dementia. His appetite has been inconsistent. He is incontinent of both bowel and bladder.

The Wound Care Nurse who conducted this case study shared that she was amazed by the results she had seen, taking into consideration the patient's fluctuating health. The patient continues to heal and rest comfortably on the Rest-Q mattress. The Nurse jokingly said that her patient would fight her for that mattress if she tried to take him off of it. He is very pleased and very comfortable.
