Pressure Relief 3 -
Therapeutic Surface Comparison
St. Mary's Hospital
Rochester, Minnesota

On June 8, 2005, Comfortex assisted with an Interface Pressure Evaluation with staff members from St. Mary’s Hospital (part of the Mayo system). The volunteer, a healthy
female, was used to compare the pressure reducing capabilities of a zoned, air adjustable bed and Comfortex’s non-mechanical Rest-Q mattress.

Interface pressures were recorded on a computer assisted X-SENSOR pressure monitor. The tests images were in a supine flat and Head Of Bed elevated position at 30 degrees & 45 degrees. A pillow was positioned beneath the head when in the elevated position.
